Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios:

Es un curso de nivel básico que tiene la intención de dar a conocer al alumno una visión global y el quehacer cotidiano del estudiante, así como en forma particular las habilidades y competencias que obtendrá a lo largo de su carrera en el Tecnológico de Monterrey. En este curso se abordarán temáticas relacionadas con el desarrollo sostenible en los aspectos ambientales y sociales.

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación:

Análisis de las áreas del conocimiento y los cursos que componen el currículo académico del nivel básico de estudios de Diseño y de los planes de estudios de Arquitecto y Licenciado en Diseño Industrial. Charlas de profesionales sobre el DISEÑO y las carreras que tienen esta disciplina como actividad primordial: arquitectura, diseño industrial, diseño gráfico, etc. así como otras áreas afines. Análisis y discusión del compromiso de estas profesiones con la sociedad, la ciudad y el medio ambiente. Visitas, lecturas y conferencias sobre la cultura y las artes.

Course intention within the general study plan context:

It is a basic level course whose intention is to give the student the knowledge of a global vision and the day-to-day activity of an architect, as well as form the abilities and competencies that he will obtaing during his major in the Tecnológico de Monterrey. In this course topics related with Sustainable Development in the environmental and social aspects will be approached.

Course objective:

Analysis of the knowledge areas and the courses included in the curricular map of the basic study level of Design and of the 1999 Arquitecture and Industrial Design study plans. Guest speakers will talk about Design and the programs that have this discipline as a fundamental activity: Arquitecture, graphic design, and other related areas. Analysis and group discussion of societal, city and environmental commitments of these professionals. Visits, readings and conferences about culture and art.
