Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios: |

|
Es un curso de nivel básico, que tiene la intención de conocer y analizar las teorías, tratados y manifiestos de la ideología arquitectónica a través del tiempo, haciendo énfasis en la teoría de arquitectos contemporáneos (siglo XX) y su manifestación en su actividad práctica. El curso pretende una reflexión sobre la práctica personal y el establecimiento de una postura crítica respecto a la realidad histórica y contemporánea. Requiere conocimientos básicos de diseño arquitectónico, para que pueda relacionar los conocimientos teóricos con su propia práctica en los cursos de diseño. Como resultado del aprendizaje, se espera que el alumno reconozca las diversas posturas teóricas en el campo de la arquitectura, y tener las herramientas para asumir una postura personal inicial con respecto a la disciplina. |

| Al finalizar el curso, el alumno será capaz de reconocer las diversas tendencias teóricas de la arquitectura y la ciudad desde los primeros tratadistas hasta la época contemporánea. | |||||

Course intention within the general study plan context: |

|
This is a basic course, designed to help students understand and analyze theories, treatises and manifestos on architectural ideology throughout history, with an emphasis on the theories of contemporary (twentieth century) architects and their practical expression. The intention of this course is to reflect on personal practices and to formulate a critical opinion with regard to historical and contemporary reality. Previous knowledge is required in basic architectural design, in order to relate theoretical knowledge to personal practices in design courses. The learning outcome for this course is that the students recognize the various theories in the field of architecture and that they have the necessary tools for formulating an initial personal opinion regarding the discipline. |
