Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios: |

|
Es un curso de nivel avanzado, que tiene la intención de dar al estudiante el conocimiento del pensamiento urbano y de la diversidad de las teorías urbanísticas y de la planeación que han incidido en el desarrollo de las ciudades. Previamente el alumno deberá tener los conocimientos históricos de la estructura básica y evolutiva de las ciudades. Como resultado del aprendizaje, se espera que el alumno sea capaz de identificar y evaluar éstas teorías en planes y proyectos urbanos, conocer sus aplicaciones y sus limitantes, y tener las herramientas que en los siguientes cursos le permitirán llevar a cabo un análisis urbano y una intervención arquitectónico-urbana fundamentada y sustentable en un sitio especifico. |

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación: |

| Conocer las teorías urbanísticas y de la planeación urbana. Identificar las similitudes y contrastes entre las diversas teorías, agendas urbanas, etc. Comprender la importancia del análisis urbano en la intervención en la ciudad. Evaluar el impacto de la teoría y el pensamiento urbano en la conformación de la ciudad, tanto sus aciertos como los limitantes que se han evaluado a lo largo de la historia. Ser capaz de realizar un análisis urbano de un sitio predeterminado. | |||||

Course intention within the general study plan context: |

|
The aim of this advanced course is to provide students with knowledge of urban thought and diversity in urbanistic and planning theories that have affected cities' development. Students require prior historical knowledge of basic structure and evolution of cities. Learning outcome: students will be able to identify and evaluate these theories in urban plans and projects, know their applications and their limitations, and have the tools that in the following courses will allow them to carry out an urban analysis and a well-founded, sustainable urban-architectural project in a specific site. |

| This course focuses on urban and town planning theory; identification of the similarities and differences between the diverse theories, urban agendas, etc.; understanding the importance of urban analysis in city projects; evaluation of the impact of urban theory and thinking on the formation of cities, including both the successes and the limitations that have been evaluated throughout history; the urban analysis of a predetermined site. | |||||
