Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios: |

|
Es un curso de nivel intermedio que tiene la intención de que el alumno integre elementos para la formación de competencias de ética y profesionalismo del Ingeniero Biomédico. Incluye el desarrollo de conceptos relacionados con las Ciencias de la Salud y su relación con las Humanidades, el desarrollo moral y la ética profesional en la Ingeniería Biomédica. Favorecer el desarrollo de habilidades interpersonales y de comunicación relacionadas con el Profesionalismo Narrativo en el ámbito biomédico, así como destrezas relacionadas con el bienestar y el autocuidado. A través del análisis de dilemas éticos cotidianos en la Ingeniería Biomédica, promover la autoreflexión y autoconciencia como eje en el proceso de toma de decisiones éticas. Requiere conocimientos básicos relacionados con la dimensión ética de la vida humana, los fundamentos de la ética, ética y sociedad y ética para la vida. Como resultado del aprendizaje se espera que el alumno integre conocimientos, habilidades, actitudes, principios y valores que le permitan el desarrollo de sus competencias de ética y profesionalismo, que favorezcan el ejercicio regular de la reflexión ética sobre casos clínicos reales y actuales a los cuales se enfrenta en el día a día, tomando en cuenta su responsabilidad como profesional de la salud hacia el beneficio de la sociedad. |

Course intention within the general study plan context: |

|
This is a midlevel course that gives the students the opportunity to integrate elements to shape professional and ethical competences for a biomedical engineer. Includes the development of concepts about how health science, humanities, moral development and professional ethics in Biomedical Engineering are related. Promotes the development of interpersonal and communication abilities related to "Narrative Professionalism" in the biomedical field, and skills related to wellness and selfcare. Through the analysis of common ethical dilemmas in Biomedical engineering, promotes self-reflection and self-conscience as the axis in the process of making an ethical decision. Requires basic knowledge related to the ethic dimension in the human life, the fundaments of Ethics, Ethics and society and Ethics for life. As a learning result it is expected that students integrate knowledge, abilities, attitudes, and values that make possible the development of ethical competences and professionalism that benefit from regular use of ethical reflection about real and current clinical cases which they face day by day, taking into count their responsibility as professionals of health for the benefit of society. |
