Course intention within the general study plan context: |
It is a basic course that has the intention of providing to the student fundamental concepts that allow him to know the key activities around oil and gas production, beside knowing the equipment associated with the operations. Activities like definition well's types, his behavior, the integrity of the facilities, artificial systems, between others. In addition, discussing the operations that are executed to support and to increase the production that they are necessary to increase the recovery of oil and gas in the deposits. This course requires prior knowledge in perforation of wells and of production of deposits. As result of the learning the student will know the concepts to understand different stimulation and operations technologies effected in the petroleum wells to assure, to support and / or to increase the productivity of the wells. |
Course objective: |
By completing the course the student will be capable of: - To identify the fundamental concepts of production, including the concepts of flow, fluids, pipelines and the foundations of some necessary processes in the transport of hydrocarbons. |
