Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios:  

Es un curso de nivel básico dentro del campo del estudio del derecho. Cuando el estudiante arriba a esta materia se considera que está conociendo el derecho. Al finalizar este curso el alumno conocerá y comprenderá la relación entre la historia y el derecho mexicano, así como el desarrollo de éste en el devenir histórico, en un arco que va desde el ?encuentro de dos mundos? hasta el final del período revolucionario. A partir de ello podrá interpretar al derecho mexicano como la continuidad o ruptura del fenómeno histórico y de las instituciones, y tendrá elementos para vislumbrar un derecho más justo y equilibrado.

Course intention within the general study plan context:  

It is a basic level course in the law study field. When the student arrives in this course it is considered that he is barely knowing law. Once the course is finished the student will know and understand the relation between Mexican history and law, as well as the development of this in the historic time to come, in an arc that goes from the ""encounter two worlds"" to the end of the revolutionary period. Starting from this he will be able to interpret Mexican law as the continuity or rupture of the historic phenomenon and the institutions, and he will have elements to see a more just and balanced law.
