Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios: |

|
Es un curso de nivel intermedio que busca desarrollar en el estudiante un conocimiento conceptual y práctico sobre el mueble como categoría de la arquitectura de interiores, además de conocer y aplicar procesos de diseño especializados en dicha categoría. Para ello es necesario que el estudiante posea conocimientos básicos de diseño, geometría y producción de modelos, maquetas, prototipos o su equivalente. Como resultado del aprendizaje, el alumno identificará las diferentes corrientes estílisticas del diseño de mobiliario, conocerá variables constructivas de la fabricación de mobiliario y podrá interpretar un proyecto de arquitectura interior diseñando el mobiliario que corresponda a las premisas de diseño del proyecto, las necesidades de uso y el contexto estético y cultural del proyecto. |

| Al finalizar el curso el alumno será capaz de: caracterizar el sector del diseño de mobiliario, aplicar procesos de diseño de mobiliario especializado, comprender los aspectos asociados a las necesidades de arquitectos, decoradores y centrales de compra de las cadenas o promotores hoteleros. | |||||

Course intention within the general study plan context: |
|||||
|
It is an intermediate level course which aims to develop in students a conceptual and practical knowledge of the furniture as a category of Interior Architecture, in addition to know and to apply specialized process of design in that category. This requires from the student have bases of design, geometry and production of models, models, prototypes or equivalent. As a result of the course, the student will be able to identify the different stylistic trends of furniture design, to handle various furnitue manufacturing variables and may interpret the needs of an interior architecture project, designing furniture that matches the design of the design premises, the users requirements as well as the aesthetic and cultural contexts that correspond to each project. |
