Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios:  

En este curso introductorio se revisarán las problemáticas de violencia y explotación que se dan actualmente a la luz de las obras de los principales pensadores clásicos y contemporáneos. El curso requiere el desarrollo de una curiosidad intelectual y un pensamiento crítico que apuntale la reflexión de los distintos conceptos, teorías y propuestas de los autores. Como resultado del aprendizaje, el estudiante  identificará expresiones de violencia, vulnerabilidad y explotación presentes en su realidad cotidiana, abordará posibles formas de resolución de conflictos, justicia social y solidaridad que promuevan formas distintas de relaciones entre los seres humanos.

 

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación:  

Al finalizar el curso, el estudiante será capaz de:

- Identificar problemas de diversos ámbitos de la vida, describiendo los elementos éticos implicados en la situación y abordándolos desde nociones elementales de la ética, sus creencias personales, la costumbre o la tradición.

- Reconocer los intereses de los actores involucrados y documentar la situación.

- Identificar argumentos, contextos, intenciones y emociones a través del análisis lingüístico-discursivo, la identificación de ideas principales, marcas afectivas y argumentativas de los interlocutores.

- Fundamentar juicios propios ante una situación o problema, mediante un proceso de razonamiento lógico.

Course intention within the general study plan context:  

This introductory course will review the current problems of violence and exploitation under the perspective and works of the foremost classical and contemporary thinkers. The course requires the development of intellectual curiosity and critical thinking that underpins the reflection of the different concepts, theories and proposals of the authors. As a learning outcome, the student will be able to identify expressions of violence, vulnerability and exploitation present in his daily reality; the student will address possible alternatives of conflict resolution, recognition and solidarity that promote different forms of relationships between human beings.

 

Course objective:  

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

- Identify problems from different walks of life, describing the ethical elements involved in the situation and addressing them from elementary notions of ethics, personal beliefs, custom or tradition.

- Recognize the interests of the actors involved and document the situation.

- Identify arguments, contexts, intentions and emotions through linguistic-discursive analysis, identification of main ideas, affective and argumentative marks of the interlocutors.

- To develop own judgements on a situation or problem, through a process of logical reasoning.
