Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios: |

|
Es un curso intermedio en el área de finanzas que le permitirá al alumno conocer el campo de acción y el objetivo de las finanzas corporativas; identificar las características de los mercados financieros y su relación con la empresa; y aplicar herramientas de valuación para determinar el precio y rendimiento de los bonos y las acciones. Asimismo, aprenderá a analizar diferentes estructuras de capital a partir de la comparación de las diversas fuentes de financiamiento y estimar el costo del capital promedio ponderado. El alumno identificará las principales teorías y políticas de dividendos y su relación con el valor de la empresa, y comprenderá el concepto de capital de trabajo aplicando modelos de administración para cada una de las cuentas que lo componen. |

| Conocer y comprender el campo de acción de las Finanzas. Conocer la naturaleza de las Finanzas Corporativas así como también las decisiones que éstas involucran. Conocer y utilizar las principales técnicas de presupuesto de capital bajo ambientes inflacionarios y de riesgo. Conocer y comprender los conceptos de rentabilidad y riesgo. Determinar la estructura financiera que permita maximizar el valor de la empresa. Conocer y comprender los conceptos de fusiones y adquisiciones. | |||||

Course intention within the general study plan context: |

|
This is an intermediate finance course that allows the students to learn the objectives and goals of corporate finance, to identify the characteristics of financial markets and its relationship with companies, and to apply valuation methods to determine price and return of bonds and stocks. Also, the student will learn to analyze different capital structures and estimate the weighted average cost of capital. The student will learn the different theories on dividend policies and its relationship with the value of the firm. The student will understand the concept of working capital by applying the managerial models for each working capital account. |

Know and practice the most important technics of capital budgeting under risk circunstances and inflation. Know and understand the concepts of profitability and risk.
