Es un curso del programa de Formación Humanística y Ciudadana en el cual los estudiantes adquieren conocimientos esenciales para el análisis, interpretación y apreciación de obras cinematográficas y literarias como trasfondo para el acercamiento y la comprensión de dilemas culturales y sus efectos en la condición humana actual. Está diseñado para alumnos de todas las carreras que cursen entre primer y quinto semestre. No requiere conocimientos previos relacionados con cine ni con literatura. |

Course intention within the general study plan context: |

In this course from the Humanistic and Citizenship Education program, students acquire key knowledge for the analysis, interpretation and appreciation of cinematographic and literary works that will give them insight into cultural dilemmas and their effects on the current human condition. It is designed for first to fifth semester students from all the degree programs. No prior knowledge related to film or art is required. |

Course objective: |

The purpose of this course is to encourage the liking of and develop an understanding of cultural aspects of literature and film as intelligent sources of aesthetic pleasure, and as a particular type of knowledge. This type of analysis and interpretation brings the student closer to socio-cultural dilemmas faced by human beings. It helps them to recognize and understand the ethical and aesthetic dimensions of the selected literary works and films, through an analytical, transdisciplinary approach. This analysis favors the development of a personal point of view and understanding of the problems suffered by human beings in different cultures. |
