Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios:  

Curso de nivel intermedio en el área de teoría literaria que ofrece al alumno un panorama de los paradigmas teóricos literarios contemporáneos a partir del posestructuralismo y le pone en contacto con la pluralidad de posturas teóricas contemporáneas. Requiere conocimiento de los géneros literarios, sus características principales y de las herramientas básicas para su análisis. Como resultado de aprendizaje, el alumno elaborará un trabajo crítico en el que analizará, evaluará y aplicará a obras literarias de diferentes géneros las distintas propuestas de análisis literario a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XX.

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación:  

Al finalizar este curso el alumno será capaz de comprender las tendencias actuales de la teoría literaria y valorar su importancia en el análisis e interpretación de textos, enfatizar en la construcción del significado poético y la sistematización en el estudio de los géneros literarios y los diferentes paradigmas posestructuralistas, aplicar los principios teóricos en el análisis del texto literario, e interpretar y evaluar la obra literaria a la luz de las teorías más recientes.

Course intention within the general study plan context:  

This is an intermediate course in the field of literary theory that offers students a general view of the contemporary literary theory paradigms from post-structuralism onwards and familiarizes them with the plurality of contemporary theoretical postures. The course requires knowledge of literary genres, their main characteristics and the basic tools for their analysis. As a learning result, the student will produce a review in which he/she will analyze, evaluate and apply the different literary analysis proposals from the second-half of the 20th century onward to literary works of different genres.

Course objective:  

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to understand the present trends in literary theory and value their importance in the analysis and interpretation of texts, emphasizing the construction of poetic significance and systematization in the study of literary genres and the different post-structuralist paradigms; apply the theoretical principal to the analysis of the literary text; and interpret and evaluate literary work in light of the most recent theories.
