Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios:  

Es un curso introductorio de ingles, de nivel básico, que tiene como intención educativa que el estudiante desarrolle sus habilidades de comunicación en inglés en contextos sociales y académicos. Requiere que el alumno haya alcanzado un nivel A1 en el curso de Inglés I o en algún curso anterior. Así mismo, requiere conocimientos previos del sistema de enunciación en inglés. Como resultado de aprendizaje, el alumno será capaz reconocerá y utilizará de manera adecuada las estructuras sintácticas del inglés a nivel A1+.

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación:  

Al terminar el curso el alumno será capaz de  

-U tilizar formas sencillas de saludar y dirigirse a las personas.

- Saludar, preguntar cómo están y reaccionar a noticias.

- Lograr intercambios sociales muy breves.

- Preguntar y responder sobre lo que hacen en su trabajo y en su tiempo libre.

- Hacer y responder a invitaciones. 

- Discutir qué hacer, a dónde ir y hacer arreglos.

- Hacer y aceptar ofertas.

- Leer textos cortos y simples.

El alumno será capaz de lograr el nivel A1+ en la certificación al final del curso.

Course intention within the general study plan context:  

This is a basic level English introductory course that has as an educational objective that the student develop his/her English communication skills in social and academic contexts.  It requires the student to have achieved an A1 level in the English I course or in any other previous course.  It also requires previous knowledge of the English enunciation system.  As a result of learning, the student will be able to recognize and use in an appropriate way the syntactic structures of English at level A1+.

Course objective:  

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

•  use simple everyday polite forms of greeting and address;
• greet people, ask how they are and react to news;
• handle very short social exchanges;
• ask and answer questions about what they do at work and in free time;
• make and respond to invitations;
• discuss what to do, where to go and make arrangements; make and accept offers.
• focus on receptive skills (reading and listening), 
• understand phrases and vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local area, employment) 
• read very short, simple texts.

The student will be able to achieve an A1+ in the certification at the end of the course.
