Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios:  

Inglés V  es un curso de nivel intermedio que requiere que el alumno haya alcanzado un nivel pre-intermedio en el curso de Inglés IV o en algún curso anterior. Este curso permitirá que el alumno desarrolle las cuatro habilidades lingüísticas de inglés con un enfoque de inglés para negocios a un nivel B1 de acuerdo al Marco Común Europeo de Referencia. Así mismo, establecerá las bases para que el alumno alcance el nivel requerido para graduacion.

Como resultado de aprendizaje, el alumno será capaz de reconocer y utilizar de manera adecuada las estructuras sintácticas del inglés a nivel B1.

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación:  

Al finalizar el curso el alumno será capaz de:

- Comprender las ideas principales de un texto sobre temas de su interés o del área laboral.

- Producir textos de 3 párrafos y coherentes en diferentes formatos como correos electrónicos, cartas y reportes de su área laboral.

- Describir experiencias, justificar sus opiniones y explicar sus planes.

- Expresarse de manera oral y escrita con fluidez moderada.

- Interactuar adecuadamente en situaciones personales, profesionales, académicas, sociales y de negocios.

- Iniciar, sostener y concluir conversaciones estructuradamente.

- Identificar ideas principales y detalles en discurso conectado en una diversa variedad de temas y contextos.

- Establecer relaciones lógicas y cronológicas entre elementos de un texto.

- Interpretar textos que tengan que ver con información factual de negocios y de índole académico.

- El alumno será capaz de alcanzar el nivel B1 en su certificación de fin de cursos.

Course intention within the general study plan context:  

English V is an intermediate level course that requires the student to have reached a pre-intermediate level in English IV or a previous course. This course will allow the student to develop the four English language skills with a focus on business English at a B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference. Likewise, it will establish the bases so that the student reaches the level required for graduation.

As a result of learning, the student will be able to recognize and properly use the syntactic structures of English at the B1 level.

Course objective:  

Upon completion, the student will be able to:

- Understand main ideas of a text about familiar topics.

- Produce three paragraph, coherent texts using different formats: email, letters and reports about topics of their interest.

- Describe experiences, justify opinions and explain plans.

- Express with moderate fluency  in both spoken and written formats.

- Interact accurately  in personal, professional, academic, social and business situations.

- Start, continue and end conversations in a structured way.

- Identify main Ideas and details in connected speech within a wide variety of topics and contexts.

- Establish logic and chronologic  order in parts of a text.

- Understand text that have to do with factual information  in business and academic topics.

- The student will be able to  reach at least a B1 in the certification of the end of the course.
