Principios fundamentales de transferencia de masa. Clasificación de coeficientes de transferencia. Absorción y desorción de gases para sistemas diluidos y no diluidos, isotérmicos y no isotérmicos, en sistemas de contacto continuo y por etapas. Dimensionamiento de columnas empacadas y de platos. Destilación de mezclas binarias por los métodos de McCabe-Thiele y Ponchon-Savarit. Destilación de mezclas multicomponentes por métodos cortos y métodos rigurosos. | |||||

Basic principles of mass-transfer operations. Classification of mass-transfer coefficients. Gas absorption and desorption for diluted and non-diluted, isothermal and non-isothermal systems, continuous-contact and multistage operations. Sizing of packed and tray towers. Distillation of binary mixtures through the McCabe-Thiele and Ponchon-Savarit methods. Distillation of multicomponent mixtures through simplified and rigorous methods. | |||||
