Este es un curso analítico y práctico que busca proveer las herramientas básicas para entender, modelar, controlar el proceso de combustión de cualquier combustible en cualquier maquina térmica. Incluye los siguientes temas termoquímica, reacciones químicas, ecuaciones fundamentales, llamas premezcladas, llamas por difusión y combustión de gotas. El curso se complementa con laboratorios.

Course intention within the general study plan context:

Course objective:

This is an analytical, practical course that seeks to give students the basic tools they will need to understand, model, and control the combustion process of any fuel in any heat engine. The following topics are included: thermo-chemistry, chemical reactions, fundamental equations, premixed flames, and diffusion and drop combustion flames. The course is complemented by laboratory exercises.
