Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios: |

Formar médicos que integren en su práctica los componentes de ética y profesionalismo que le permitan ejercer la búsqueda del bienestar del paciente como primer objetivo. |

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación: |
|||||
Desarrollar a nivel avanzado competencias de ética y profesionalismo relacionadas con la ginecología y obstetricia, es decir integrar actitudes y valores que van más allá del conocimiento científico y técnico, las cuales son esenciales para que el profesional de la medicina responda a la confianza que el paciente y la comunidad le otorgan, bajo la premisa de que antepondrá la búsqueda del bienestar del paciente y de la comunidad como primer objetivo. Participar activa y oportunamente en la solución de dilemas éticos de forma individual o en grupo a través de una metodología previamente establecida para: a) Reconocer conflictos y valores. b) Utilizar la razón y el diálogo con otras personas para resolver conflictos. Reflexionar y aplicar valores y principios éticos propios de la ginecología y obstetricia. | |||||

Develop an advanced level of ethical and professional competence related to Gynecology and Obstetrics; that is, integrating the attitudes and values that go beyond scientific and technical knowledge which are essential for medical professionals so that they can respond to the trust that the patient and the community place in them, under the premise that their primary objective will be the pursuit of the patients’ and the communities’ wellbeing. Participate actively and opportunely in the solution of ethical dilemmas either individually or in a group by means of a previously established methodology to: A) Recognize conflicts and values. B) Use reason and dialog with others to resolve conflicts. C) Reflect on and apply the appropriate values and ethical principals for Gynecology and Obstetrics. | |||||
