Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios: |

|
Es un curso de nivel avanzado, que tiene la intención de que el alumno integre elementos para la formación de competencias de ética y profesionalismo del licenciado en medicina. Incluye el desarrollo de conceptos relacionados con las Ciencias de la Salud y su relación con las Humanidades, el desarrollo moral y la ética profesional en Medicina. Favorece el desarrollo de habilidades interpersonales y de comunicación relacionadas con el Profesionalismo Narrativo en el ámbito del ejercicio profesional del médico, así como destrezas relacionadas con el bienestar y el autocuidado. A través del análisis de dilemas éticos cotidianos propios de la Medicina, promover la auto reflexión y autoconciencia como eje en el proceso de toma de decisiones éticas. Requiere conocimientos básicos relacionados con la dimensión ética de la vida humana, los fundamentos de la ética, ética y sociedad y ética para la vida. Como resultado del aprendizaje se espera que el alumno integre conocimientos, habilidades, actitudes, principios y valores que le permitan el desarrollo de sus competencias de ética y profesionalismo que favorezcan el ejercicio regular de la reflexión ética sobre casos clínicos reales y actuales a los cuáles se enfrenta en el día a día, tomando en cuenta su responsabilidad como profesional de la salud hacia el beneficio de la sociedad. |

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación: |

| Al finalizar el curso el alumno será capaz de desarrollar a nivel avanzado competencias de ética y profesionalismo relacionadas con la Medicina; participar activa y oportunamente en la solución de dilemas éticos de forma individual o en grupo a través de una metodología previamente establecida para: a) Reconocer conflictos y valores, b) Utilizar la razón y el diálogo con otras personas para resolver conflictos; reflexionar sobre la responsabilidad que tiene como profesionista en el campo de la salud, comprometido con su vocación y su comunidad, mediante el análisis de los principales factores éticos que conducen al logro de una sociedad justa. | |||||

|
This is an advanced course in which the student integrates elements for forming ethical and professional competence in medical professionals. The course includes the development of concepts related to health sciences and their relationship to the humanities, moral development and professional ethics in medicine. The course promotes the development of interpersonal and communication skills related to narrative professionalism in medical practice as well as skills related to wellness and self-care. Through the analysis of everyday medical ethical dilemmas, students promote self-reflection and self-consciousness as the core for the process of ethical decision making. The course requires basic knowledge related to the ethical dimension of human life, fundamentals of ethics, ethics and society, ethical life. As a learning outcome, students are expected to integrate knowledge, skills, attitudes, principles and values that enable the development of ethical and professional skills which promote regular exercise of ethical reflection on real and current everyday clinical cases taking into account their responsibility as health professionals working for the benefit of society. |

| Upon completion of this course, students will be able to develop advanced skills of medical ethics and professionalism; participate actively and opportunely in resolving ethical dilemmas individually or in groups using a previously established methodology to recognize conflicts and values; use reason and dialog with others to resolve conflicts; think of their responsibility as health professionals, committed to their vocation and their communities by analyzing the main ethical factors required to achieve a fair society. | |||||
