Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios:  

Es un curso clínico-asistencial que tiene la intención de que el estudiante pueda obtener información veraz y oportuna en un paciente con patología neurológica con las diferentes técnicas de exploración física. Requiere conocimientos básicos de clínica médica, relación médico paciente, exploración física sistémica. Como resultado del aprendizaje se espera que el alumno describa una historia clínica neurológica y establezca los diferentes hallazgos patológicos del sistema nervioso así como la normalidad en un paciente con alteración neurológica.

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación:  

- Elaborar la historia clínica.
- Plantear hipótesis diagnósticas.

- Formular  indicaciones.

- Revisar e interpretar estudios paraclínicos.

- Realizar procedimientos, el diagnóstico final, los planes terapéuticos, preventivos, de rehabilitación y la comunicación efectiva de esta información.

Course intention within the general study plan context:  

In this clinical course, the student will obtain truthful and timely information from a neurological pathology with the different techniques of physical examination. It requires basic knowledge of medical clinic, doctor-patient relationship, and systemic physical examination. As a learning outcome, the student will describe a neurologic medical history and establish the different pathological findings of the nervous system, as well as, the normality in a patient with neurological disturbance.

- Proposing diagnostic hypotheses.

- Formulating indications.

- Reviewing and interpreting paraclinical studies.

- Doing procedures, final diagnosis, and therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitation plans, and communicating this information effectively.
