Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios: |

En este curso se tiene la intención de que el alumno reflexione sobre los métodos de adquisición del conocimiento y la aplicación de éstos en su vida cotidiana. Como resultado del aprendizaje de este curso el alumno podrá aplicar una reflexión crítica a su vida personal y a situaciones de interés en su entorno, en diferentes áreas del conocimiento. |

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación: |

Al finalizar este curso el alumno será capaz de: - Demostrar una comprensión de los puntos fuertes y de las limitaciones de los métodos usados en las diferentes áreas de conocimiento. - Establecer relaciones entre y dentro de las formas de conocer y las áreas de conocimiento. - Identificar los valores subyacentes a los juicios y afirmaciones de conocimiento referentes a temas locales y globales. - Comprender los puntos fuertes y las limitaciones de las perspectivas individuales y culturales. - Presentar sus argumentos y contra-argumentos de forma estructurada en un ensayo escrito. |

The aim of this course is for students to reflect on the knowledge acquiring methods and their application in their day-to-day life. As a learning outcome, students will be able to apply a critical reflection of their personal life and situations of interest in their environment, in different knowledge areas. |

Once the course is finished students will be able to: Demonstrate an understanding of the strong points and the limitations of the methods used in the different areas of knowledge, establish relations between and within the forms of knowing and the areas of knowledge, identify the values underlying judgments and affirmations contained in knowledge referring to local and global topics, understand the strong points and limitations of individual and cultural perspectives, present their arguments and counter-arguments in a structured manner in a written essay. | |||||
