Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación: |

| - Introducir al alumno al lenguaje matemático y desarrollar habilidades en el manejo de las operaciones algebraicas. - Introducir al alumno a objetos matemáticos como: conjunto, número, exponente, operación, expresión algebraica, y adiestrarlo en el uso correcto de sus propiedades y relaciones. - Transmitir una visión de las matemáticas como herramienta para describir, entender y resolver problemas diversos de nuestro entorno. - Presentar al alumno el álgebra como una generalización de la aritmética. - Definir los subconjuntos de los números reales. - Representar en la recta numérica los números reales. - Efectuar operaciones con números racionales. - Manejar adecuadamente la terminología del álgebra. - Hacer operaciones con todo tipo de expresiones algebraicas. - Realizar mentalmente la multiplicación de ciertos productos notables. - Realizar correctamente el proceso de factorización de ciertas expresiones algebraicas. - Simplificar expresiones algebraicas con fracciones utilizando la factorización. - Realizar operaciones con fracciones algebraicas simplificadas. | |||||

Course objective: |

| - Introduce the student to mathematical language and develop skills in the use of algebraic operations. - Introduce the students to mathematical concepts such as: sets, numbers, exponents, operations, and algebraic expressions, and train them in the correct use of their properties and relations. - Transmit a vision of mathematics as a tool to describe, understand, and solve different problems in our surroundings. - Present algebra to the students as a generalization of arithmetic. - Define the subgroups of real numbers. - Represent the real numbers in the number line. - Solve problems with rational numbers. - Adequately use algebraic terminology. - Solve problems with all kinds of algebraic expressions. - Perform the multiplication of certain notable products. - Perform correctly the factorization process of certain algebraic expressions. - Simplify algebraic expressions with fractions using factorization. - Solve problems with simplified algebraic fractions. | |||||
