Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios:  

La intención fundamental del curso es: Familiarizar al alumno con la necesidad de identificar el sustento teórico que necesariamente yace tras la acción política y social y presentarle el menú de opciones teórico-metodológicas en el ámbito de las relaciones internacionales. Conocimientos de la problemática metodológica de las ciencias sociales. Se requiere que el alumno tenga nociones básicas sobre la problemática de la objetividad. Se espera que al término de este curso el alumno pueda reconocer el menú básico de propuestas teórico metodológicas para el análisis de la realidad internacional, es decir, que identifique adecuadamente el conjunto de propuestas racionalistas que aspiran a explicar las relaciones internacionales.

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación:  
Ofrecer al alumno las herramientas teóricas de las relaciones internacionales y su aplicación práctica para analizar y diagnosticar, planear y formular estrategias en el ámbito de la política internacional.

Course intention within the general study plan context:  

Intention of the course in the general context of the studies plan:The main intention of the course is to familiarize students with the need to identify the theoretical background that necessarily underlies behind sociopolitical action and present them with the theoretical and methodological menu in the area of international relations.Students should have some basic knowledge of theoretical and methodological problems in the social sciences. It is required that students be familiarized with the problem of objectivity.It is expected that, by the end of the course students might be able to recognize the basic menu of theoretical-methodological proposals for the analysis of international relations; that is, they should be able to adequately identify the set of rational proposals aimed at explaining international relations.

Course objective:  
Offers the student the theoretical tools of international relations and their practical application to analyze and diagnose, plan and formulate strategies in the international political environment.
