|
Curso de nivel intermedio en el área de relaciones internacionales que le brinda al alumno los conocimientos para analizar las consecuencias de los modelos económicos, políticos y sociales de Norteamérica en el siglo XX y XXI y así comprender la concepción de una zona norteamericana que incluya a los Estados Unidos, Canadá y México. Requiere conocimientos previos de historia de mundial del siglo XX. Como resultado de aprendizaje el alumno realizará simulaciones, juegos de roles, perfil de países y/o proyecto de investigación en los que ponga de manifiesto su entendimiento de la lógica política, económica, social y cultural de la región y la manera en que ésta se inserta en la dinámica mundial, para posteriormente poder armar análisis sobre los mismos. |

| Este curso examinará las principales corrientes ideológicas, sociales, políticas, económicas y culturales en los Estados Unidos desde el periodo de la Guerras Mundiales hasta el presente. El estudiante aprenderá a tomar información tanto de fuentes primarias como secundarias para el análisis crítico de los eventos importantes y las corrientes en la historia de los EU. en el siglo XXI. | |||||

Course intention within the general study plan context: |

|
Intermediate international relations course that provides students with the knowledge required to analyze the consequences of North America’s economic, political and social models in the 20th and 21st centuries, and also to understand the concept of a North-American zone that includes the United States, Canada and Mexico. This course requires prior knowledge of 20th-century world history. Learning outcome: students will perform simulations and role-playing, and generate country profiles and/or research projects that demonstrate their understanding of the political, economic, social and cultural logic of the region and the way in which this is introduced into the global dynamic, and subsequently generate analyses of the same. |

| This course will examine the principle social, political, economic, cultural and ideological trends in the United States from the period of the World Wars to the present. The student will learn to take information from both primary and secondary sources to form critical analysis of important events and trends in twentieth century US history. | |||||
