Intención del curso en el contexto general del plan de estudios: |

Curso de nivel básico en el área de relaciones internacionales orientado a que el alumno comprenda la naturaleza del sistema internacional contemporáneo. Requiere conocimientos previos en el área de historia mundial. Como resultado de aprendizaje el alumno realizará un análisis de la problemática internacional, incluyendo conceptos básicos como: actores internacionales, poder, guerra y paz, globalización, medio ambiente, derechos humanos y multiculturalidad. |

Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación: |

Al finalizar este curso el alumno será capaz de diagnosticar y analizar los diferentes niveles de estudio de las políticas internacionales, los diversos actores, las causas de la guerra y la paz, las propuestas de seguridad nacional y colectiva, así como los temas de las nuevas políticas internacionales, tales como la economía, el medio ambiente, las migraciones y los cambios tecnológicos. |

Course intention within the general study plan context: |

The purpose of this introductory course of international relations is to contribute to the creation of a historical perspective, present students to the analysis of the most important historical processes of the 19th century that contributed to the modern age. No previous knowledge required. The learning outcome of the course is for students to prepare research and/or critical essays which demonstrate a clear understanding and a well-grounded and documented analysis of a historical process. The historical methodology tools used are: bibliographic research, analysis and evaluation of sources, critical reflection and the ability to synthesize. |

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to diagnose and analyze international policies: the various participants, the causes of war and peace, proposals for national and collective security, as well as the themes of new international policies such as the economy, the environment, migration and technological changes. |
