Objetivo general de la Unidad de Formación: |

| Introducir al alumno en el conocimiento y la problemática de los aspectos ambientales, vinculando su área de especialidad con los mismos. Por otra parte, se pretende establecer las bases del desarrollo sostenible desde los puntos de vista ecológico, económico, social y cultural. Introducción: Sinópsis histórica sobre la evolución orgánica y sobre nuestro desarrollo evolutivo, cultural y su impacto sobre los sistemas ecológicos. Principios de ciencia ambiental. Población; dinámica de crecimiento; control. Recursos (1): yacimientos minerales; cuerpos de agua y ciclo hidrológico; recursos bióticos. Recursos (2): agricultura y otros sistemas de producción alimentaria y de satisfactores no alimentarios. Contaminación: orígenes; consecuencias; control. Desarrollo sostenible. | |||||

| The student will be introduced to the basic principles of ecology and its relation to his/her field of study. Understanding the basic elements of sustainable development from an ecological, economic, social and cultural perspective is also expected. Introduction to the following: an historical review of organic evolution; the evolution and cultural development of humans as well as their influence on ecological issues. Theories of environmental science. Dynamics of a population's growth and control. Resources: 1) mineral deposits, bodies of water and hydrological cycles, biotic resources; 2) agriculture and other food production systems, and non-nutritional products.
